24.-25.01.2012 PAMAP @ 5. Ambient Assisted Living congress in Berlin
The final PAMAP prototype for strength exercise monitoring was demonstrated at the AAL congress in Berlin together with four other projects from the DFKI Competence Center AAL. PAMAP has been presented to the different stakeholders and received a lot of positive feedback. In February, the prototype will be evaluated in a clinical study based on individualized exercise programs for fit and healthy elderly, cardiovascular and functional disease patients. The study is organized by the end user CIT-INSERM and will be based on 30 subjects.
22.11.2011 Clinical trials started on 22.11.2012 at CIT-INSERM in Rennes
The first phase of the clinical trials started on 22.11.2012 with handing over the PAMAP prototype for global activity monitoring to the first participant. Each of the 30 participants, among those fit and healthy elderly, cardiovascular and functional disease patients, will keep the device over one week in order to measure and obtain feedback about her global activity level. The study will continue until April 2012. The evaluation of the digital fitness trainer for strength exercise monitoring, which is a second outcome of the PAMAP project, is planned in February 2012.
15.10.2011 Paper submitted to JAISE
A joint paper by UTC and DFKI presenting the latest results in the PAMAP use case strength exercise monitoring has been submitted to the JAISE Thematic Issue Home based health and wellness measurement and monitoring.
26.-27.09.2011 PAMAP presented at AAL Forum 2011
The PAMAP project has been presented at the AAL Forum 2011 in Lecce, Italy, and received a lot of interesting and positive feedback.
02.07.2011 Two scientific papers accepted
